XP freezes up

Hi.

My computer randomly freezes up. I have cleared temps, compresse
files. CLeaned up . I have lots of memory.
Checked for worms and virus. Seems most of the time when it freezes i
when I am doing a virus scan.

Athough it has froze in many different applications. Sometimes eve
just surfing.

Try to scan in Safe MODE and look in the Event Viewer for any error message,
also see which process is taking the most usage of the CPU on the Task
manager.
