XP Firewall

I am running XP Home & using windows default firewall with default settings.
I am using Ozemail ADSL and when I try and log onto www.myob.com.au, I have
to wait approx 2 mins for the web page to come on. Its the same when I change
to another secure site on myob. Ozemail did some tests & told me the problem
is either internet explorer or the firewall. After disableing the xp
firewall I was able to connect imediately. There is no problem with other web
pages.
Thanks for any help to resolve this problem as I don't want to disable the
firewall every time I wish to go to myob

For fun I attempted to connect to that website and after a long pause, got a
blank page. I also tried the main international website (without the
".au"), but the same result.

I am running the free Zone Alarm, not the XP firewall.

I can connect to any other site in a blink of the eye.

I therefore conclude that ther is something funny about this site, and
suggest that you want want to think about whether you really want to go
there.

Alternatively, if you know for a fact that this is a legitimate website,
contact their user support and ask whether they are trying to do some sort
of authentication or requre some port that any firewall would normally
block. I had such a problem with Norton Antivirus updates, and finally had
to place the Symantec (owner's of Norton) website into my list of trusted
websites within my firewall.
