Xp Firewall Dpnsvr enabled?

I noticed, on inspection of my Xp enabled Firewall that there is one and only one
checked entry [for dpnsvr (255.255.255:nnnn) nnnn UDP]. I never saw this before
and in Msn search, I see it may be related to Directx 9b. Do I need this item to be
checked/active when no other is or ever has been?

To test the Direct X relationship I turned this Udp access off then ran DxDiag's Direct Play option
under Network Tab which re-enabled it. Then tried the test again after deleting 6073 udp entry
altogether. DxDiag reinstalled and enabled it. I suppose it is harmless but of no use to me or anyone
else?
