XP fails to load on large HDD

I try to install a new computer with XP. For some reason, it just hang after
copying all the files to the partition for the OS.
I am using an AMD 2600XP machine with 512KB RAM + 120GB HDD.

Anyone experience similar problem? Is it to do with the 120GB HDD as I have
no previous difficulties when using HDD of 80GB.

120G should be no problem on a newish motherboard. More details this site:

You imply multiple partions. Perhaps it would be worth formatting the drive
without partioning and doing an install to see if it's the partioning that's
causing the problem somehow?. If that works you can create the partions
afterwards.
