Hi All!

I tried to run XP-E on the new STPC VEGA (PII core).
Not even the FBA is starting...

Is there a problem with the CPUID?

Is there a patch for this?

Thanks for all informations!

I posted the response below from my home machine 3 hours ago but Comcast
*still* hasn't let it through, so forgive me if this winds up being a dupe
post later when (if) the original finally makes it through:

Martin, give me a pointer to the exact proc you're referring to. Also, do
you know this machine's cpuid? You can attach the embedded device to a
kernel debugger, break into the debugger and enter "!cpuid", i'd like to see
what the returned value is.

Since I'm not familiar with the Vega, more than likely it's not supported.
If you're interested in the Rise proc on the ST Micro devices, ask them
about Xpe support it, they should be able to help you there.

Question: PII stands for Intel Pentium II?
Or something compatible?

Best regards,

Yep, Pentium II compatible core.

.... but as we can see only "pseudo compatible"....
