is there a limit to the number of hdd or cds you can run under windows? I
have a dell pc with one hdd pratitiond into 7. the reason I ask is if I fit a
cd rom, or dvd, drive it shows up in windows but,though indicating that there
is a disc in the drive shows no content, or title,. If you boot up the pc
with a cd in the drive, it will work without fault till reboot

you can use all drive letters up through "Z"

if you have more, the add'l drives can be added as folders

CD/DVD drives show the title of whatever disc is inserted.. if no disc, then
they show as CD, DVD, or CD/DVD.. this behaviour is to be expected..

@Mike Hall
humm, did you read my post??? the drives indicate that a cd is present, but
do not show the title or show any contents. oddly enough Ive got a little
knowledge of windows pc's
