Xp domain

I upgraded my computer from me to xp at home. It is not part of a domain or
anything and when i try to log on i get this message "The specified doamin
either does not exist or could not be contacted." Could somesome tell me what
to do
 
If you can log in then log in and follow my steps if you are stuck there boot
into safe mode and do these steps:

Click Start > right click my computer > click properties > click computer
name tab > click change button > click radio button on workgroup and type in
workgroup > click ok ok ok ok ... however many there are. Restart and there
u go. Good Luck.

This did not help i can not get logged in. Even with safe mode you have to
have a password to get in and that is my problem i can not get in

Are you backed up - documents, email, etc?
 
In Safe Mode Enter the username of Administrator with a blank password this
will get you in. However this username is disabled in Normal mode by
default. Then follow the steps I explained in my earlier post. If the
administrator and blank password does not work and you are trying to log on
to the local computer in safe mode with this then you must have had a
password for the administrator in your ME machine in which you can download
ERD commander to change your password by doing a google search for it. But
try first to use Administrator and a blank password. Good Luck.
