XP Domain issue

Can someone point me in the right direction?
Situation:
Server 2000 fully updated
5 computers log into our domain and have successfully for quite a while.
A new XP Pro computer successfully logs into the domain, shows on the server
correctly...BUT: the new computer can NOT surf the web, but does ping the web
successfully, AND the XP computer can NOT see the shared drives on the server.
 
Also, to clarify, this XP computer (laptop) surfs fine from a home broadband
connection. Also, when this computer is just part of a workgroup it can surf
fine.
