XP Doesn't Remember Passwords

J

John

Help! Whenever I'm entering passwords I always check the
box "Remember my password..." However, the very next
time I attempt to sign back on, the info is always
blank. I've been told there's a patch for this problem,
but can't locate it.

Can anyone help me? It's a real pain re-typing this info
every time.

Thanks so much!

Outlook Express keeps prompting for your password - Fix
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_oe_passwords.htm

This fix also applies to Outlook, other programs that store passwords
in the Protected Storage System Provider sub-branch of the Registry.
It also corrects some issues with Internet Explorer and AutoComplete.

Also, XP will not store passwords and such if you are logged on as Owner.
You must be an administrator-user.
