XP Does NOT connect to resources after logon

i have several computers in different states that are having the same
problem. XP Pro boxes connecting to sbs2003 servers.
the problem:
after loging on the netlogon script is asking for the server password
server\username

if you supply the correct password you move on. then if you open outlook it
also needs the password to come back online. open a resource again you need
the password.

i am really puzzled. i dont think that i am missing something easy.

I would start by deleting and re-creating the user accounts that are
affected, and by disjoining and re-joining affected PCs to the domain.
