Hi all,

have anyone experiences with BDD 2007 in combination with WDS? I try to
deploy XP SP2 with BDD 2007 and have some problems with the LightTouch
installation...
my problem is to get a connect
to the share directory of the deployment point...
Win PE starts... I enter the user information, serial...
in the next step a wizard asks me to specify the credentials for connecting
to the
network shares... I fill in my login informations but i can't connect to the
deployment point share folder!
I have created a user in my AD aspecially for this share and tried to log on
with this user... i got an error massage when i try to connect to this
share... "Invalid credentials"
p.s. i have checked all user rights and the security options for the
deoloyment ponit/share folder...

any ideas?!

Check if you have an IP address at that point. I had a similar issue when
DHCP was on another subnet and WINPE did not wait enough for IP.
If I ran ipconfig /renew before typing credentials to access the share it
worked fine.

Finally I customized winpe and added ipconfig /renew in startup XML.

Hi Alex,

Thx you for your tip. I noticed that no network adaptor is activated when i
tried to renew the IP with ipconfig /renew. I get this error message...
"An error accurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1:
The system cannot find the file specified...The operation faild as no
adapter is in the state permissible for this option"
How to activate a network adapter in the PE?! Is there a option in a xml?!
