xp data transfer wizard

Most new desktops do not come with a 3.5 drive.....as my new computer does
not have one. the instructions for xp data transfer calls for using a 3.5
which i obviously cannot do. i tried using the d drive (cd/dvd) to write to
but within the wizard, it would not list that drive as an option.

i know that i can burn cds on the old machine and then load them on to the
new one but wow....this would take many many discs and forever.

any help on how to do this transfer with a direct connect?????

This newsgroup is for questions about using external data with Microsoft
Access database software, so it's not the best place to ask this question. I
