Thanks Sharon.. I wasn't sure how to get you to see my
response to your helpful msg.
It usually happens when I am working on a photo and have
been making alot of changes to it, alot of commands, like
using the spray, paint can, undoing commands, doing them
again.. I thought at one time that I was using up all my
ram.. or using up all my cpu (if possible?) then bam it
crashes.. I will emailed JASC on this too. I also have
Adobe Elements installed if that means something. Its
getting pretty frustrating. Thanks for your help. I
needed someone to hear me.>-----

John, some folks have been having trouble with a preview option that is in
some of the Adobe graphics programs. Although I have an older version of
PhotoShop, I do not have any of the newer Adobe programs that inlcude this.

This Adobe preview hooks into the shell and is used to preview images when
browsing folders. If this sounds familiar, look for the setting to disable
it in the program's menus.

You may also want to check the Adobe website. It's possible that they have
come up with a fix for this.
