XP Copy error

I am installing service pack 2 and I get an error that setup cannot copy the
file SBE.DLL. This is during the backing up files portion of the
installation. The location shows c:\windows\system32 and says ensure that the
location specified is corect or change it. What should I do.

Boot to xp setup cd, and press 'r' for recovery console prompt, type:

CHKDSK /R
