XP confusion

i had to use the xp restore cd on my emachine and the
whole ( thing) changed, nothing works as before. what
bothers me most is when i want to att. a picture my
picture file comes up only 3 pix wide and out of order.
can anyone help?

Call eMachines tech support. This sounds like you are having hardware
failures.
