XP client using digital camera?

XP pro client logging into 2003 domain.

While logged into the domain, one of our users cannot download pics from a
digital camera. It works OK while logged in locally. Is there something on
the server that needs to be set?

When you connect a digital camera, XP needs to assign a drive letter for the
memory card inside the camera and then it reads it as a drive with removable
storage. Not sure how your server is set and on some server the letter Z is
assigned and so XP can't assign a letter.
Connect the camera locally, open Explorer or My Computer and you will see
the camera listed as a drive.
Unless XP can assign a drive letter, it cannot read the memory card.
