XP CD Repair

Can I use XP Pro SP1 to repair XP Pro SP2? Will the Repair wipe out my pc
data? Will the Repair reset my personal settings?

No. You'll need to either uninstall SP2 or use an XP cd that has SP2
slipstreamed into it. Since it is very easy to slipstream, I would
suggest you do that. I like AutoStreamer, but there are other methods.

A Repair Install should not affect your data or settings, but it is
always wise to have data backed up first because Stuff Happens.

But pc didn't show up the menu that have Install XP. It do normal startup. I
inserted the XP CD. It just don't work.

You apparently do not have your boot order set correctly. Go into the
BIOS and set the boot order to cd drive first, hard drive second,
removable devices (or other) third.

Getting into the BIOS is done by some key press or combination of key
presses and is different for different motherboards. When you start the
computer, there will be a message that says something like "Press [some
key] to enter Setup". Do that. If you don't see the message, refer to
your motherboard/computer manual or see this:
