I've downloaded a few programs requiring the use of the command prompt, but
they run slowly. Why?
Well if I click Start -> Run -> command , I get an old style prompt.
But then I click the Close Button on the same window:
"Windows cannot close this program. It may need more time to complete an
operation..." -> {End Now}/{Cancel}
So Windows can't close its own command prompt without OK from user.
Is this related to the malfunctioning of two programs I tried to use that
needed the cmd line? (They were GNU emacs, which in 1 minute from go ate all
available system memory; and a Ruby Editor) I don't know.
Shouldn't Windows be able to close its own command line without hitches?
