XP calls my USB memory a 5.25 inch drive when given the letter B Why?

On my previous XP Home laptop when I plugged a USB Flash memory drive in and
relettered it as "B" it was called "USB Memory".

New computer with XP Home, same procedure and it calls it a 5.25 inch
floppy.

Is there a fix? I know that it is a bit cosmetic but I would like to have
the right identity.

Please point me in the direction of a solution.

B and A are normally reserved for floppy drives.

A is usually a 3.5 inch floppy
B is usually a 5.25 inch floppy

Check you computer's motherboard BIOS and make sure there is no B floppy
drive set up in it.

Thank you Yves

I should have thought of that but didn't because the last computer was
already set up with only the "A" drive enabled. I think it's called a
'Senior Moment' for the over 70's.

Well, I've found those 'moments' have stretched into much longer
periods. Particularily at the bridge table.
