Hi there,
I am browsing with an XP machine a remote NT4 domain and everything is very
slow, comparing to NT which was very fast. Is there anything I should
configure on my XP machine?
Thanks, Calin

I will check the DNS first.

windows slow issues XP accesses Win9x very slow XP runs slow Why is W2K running slower while logon 1 Why is XP running slower - no DNS issue 2 ....

Hi Robert,
We use Wins, it is accessing a remote windows server.
What I noticed it is very slow accessing the remote server drive from a user shortcut on his desktop while if I create a shortcut for the remote computer and browse to the folders/files from there it is much faster. Why?
Thanks a lot, Calin
