During XP bootup, I get option to select one of two XP and a 30 minute
countdown. Problem is I have only one XP installation. How do I get rid of
the countdown and boot straight to XP?

Thanks in advance

Joe, try this:
When you get into XP, go to Start>Run and then type "msconfig" and hit
enter. In the program that starts up, click on the BOOT.INI tab. Then find
the button that says "Check all boot paths". Click on that button. My guess
is, you have more than one boot path and you only need one. That should get
rid of the bogus boot path for you. That is also where you can change the
time it gives you to select an OS when booting.
Hope that helps!

Hello.............
One is you can lower the countdown and if u want to get rid of it you need
to make some changes in startup options for that you need to follow these
steps....
1. Start->Control Panel->System
2. Double click System and go to Advanced Tag Option.
3. Click on it after that click on Startup and Recovery "SETTINGS"
Window will Pop-Up
On that either you can change the time to display list of operating systems
or as in your case you can CLICK on EDIT option and delete the full line
informing about your other system information and save it and apply.
(Note:- Before making changes to file do save it)
That will solve your problem.
Best of Luck.

Thanks
