XP Boot Problem

my XP PRO will not boot up without the cd, it seems to not
be recognizing the HD, any ideas on how I can fix this?,
It gives me an error code of I9990305

1. Get into the BIOS setup and get it to auto-detect your disk.
2. Download and run the disk diagnostic program from the
home site of your disk manufacturer.
