Hi,

I normally leave my computer on 24x7 and it's been fine for ages. Came back
from work yesterday to find the screen blank, so I rebooted. Now I get the
Windows XP screen, stays there for about a minute then reboots and does the
same again. Have tried Safe Mode, Last known good config to no avail. The
only thing I've installed lately is SP2, but that was over a week ago and
since then I've restarted the computer with no problems.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,

Daniel

Hi Daniel

If 'Last Known Good Configuration' doesn't work and you can't access Safe
Mode to try a System Restore, you will have to look towards a 'Repair'
install. Have you got an SP2 slipstreamed CD? Without that you will have
to use an 'original' XP CD or an SP1/1a CD:

Using a good surge protector? Which also has a modem circuit if you have
an internal modem?
