Steve

I posted earlier and you (someone) wanted to know how
long it took my PC to reboot. I have a 400Mhz Pentium II
laptop w/ 128 mb ram. (I know the machine itself is slow)
but it takes 3 min. 43 seconds to re boot, 1 min 10
seconds of that is just shutting down. It was not this
slow when I first got it.

I have emptied the startup programs through
Run>>msconfig>>startup etc... that helped a little, saved
10 or 20 secs but it still takes 3:43 to reboot.

Help!!

Well, memory is cheap. If you had 256MB, you would be so much better off. I
have never used a Registry Cleaner, but that might help get you closer to
your faster speed of yore. Be careful, as they can "overclean."

Ah yes, the old standard and worthless fallback...'buy more RAM'. If the OS
would do as it's been advertised and supposed to be and do, buying more RAM
shouldn't be an answer for this OP's problem.
