XP boot error NTLDR is Missing

J

Jack Coulthard

I got this message after copying a lot of files to my root
Directory by mistake.
I have identified the problem in the database at Microsoft
and they tell me to contact support for the utility
(Bcupdate2) to fix the problem.
Trouble is, Microsoft tell me to contact my OEM as my
software was pre-installed and OEM tell me to contact
Microsoft as they cannot help. I'm in a loop, anyone got
this file? or can help me in any another way.

Kindest Regards
Jack C.

Jack,
You can copy this file from another computer running Win
xp home or prof. edition. Make sure you unhide protected
operating system files in My Computer to see the file.
Search "creating a boot disk" for an article describing
the procedure.
