XP black screen hang up during installation

I was installing win xp and after the first reboot the pc now says something
like:

installation program rebooting..... (or something like, forgive my poor
english and my poor translation )

and then the screen goes black and nothing happens for ages.

how can i restart the installation process? tnx

But does your system, and its installed hardware support winxp?
If unsure try running the winxp compatibility checker
Or you could try installing to minimum hardware.
