XP backup

I want to do a twice weekly full backup with differential backups in
between, using XP's backup.
I'm using a external hard drive (that is one device, not multiple
cartridges). I want to keep all versions of files in between the full
versions - hence the differential backup.

I set up a individual (weekly) schedules for each day of the week.
Sunday and Wednesday are full backups - the rest are incremental.
Each filename contains the day of the week. I then set it to OVERWRITE
and not append. Is this correct?

That's INCREMENTAL - not differential.
