xp and windows 98 connections

i am skilled in computers and recently have been abel to independently
connect two xp computers together with one wirelessly connecting to the net.
i was abel to get both computers eventually connected to the net. Now, i am
tring to do the same independently but with a win 98 computer. I have gotten
my commputer (xp) say that cabel is pluged in but with no "connectivity" how
do i make my xp reonise my win 98 machine? any help would be accepted. thanks

The "limited connectivity" can be caused by two possible conditions.
* No connectivity.
* Connectivity, but no DHCP server.

Some detail about your network (now, as with 2 Windows XP computers) would be
very helpful.
