XP -AND- VISTA ?

That is meaningless. You need to have Vista to use to become used to it, to
see if you even like it.

When I ordered my new Dell Laptop, a friend suggested this NG. After
reading some of the horror stories and info, I really felt I had made
a huge mistake.

After getting my new machine and spending 3 easy days installing all
my favorite SW, I came to realize that ali-ass is a mouth breather and
he is now in the filter hole. I do have some problems, e.g., UAC and
networking but I am sure those will be fixed in a few days.

I do admit to not agreeing w/ MS's business tactics but he is far more
right than wrong.

If you prefer to use Acronis to make frequent backups as you do with XP then
you don't have to worry about hiding your drive. Vista makes backups of many
files, known as shadow copies, that can also be restored on the fly. It is
totally a matter of choice.

Thanks John!
