i set up vista on my new computerto dual boot with xp pro
bad move as it keeps crashing all the time and in fact vista is not
going at all now....

it is in a constant restart loop with no restore points to revert to

i want to lose vista as the primary os in the boot manager and make it
so that xp is the default

any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks

HOW TO Edit the Boot.ini File in Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q289022

In XP, press WinKey-Break,(or start/run 'sysdm.cpl'), Advanced Tab, "Start
Up and Recovery" area, Settings button, then edit the old line out with the
edit button. Reboot, and delete the files for the old OS. Don't format C:,
you need stuff in C: root.

thats fine for xp but the boot manager is vista
i cant edit it using bcdedit as i cant get vista to load as recomended

i guess my question should be can i edit the vista boot manager from
xp pro
