Xp Activation

I have a legal full version of XP Pro.

I activated and everything was cool...added a hard drive
and the 30 day activation stuff came...I left it alone
(stupidly) and the expiaration ran out.

Now when I restart something about activation pops up
quickly and disappears and my computer restarts. I would
prefer to stay away from rapair or reinstall as I dont
want to lose any data.

Is there anyway to delete/restore activation files to see
if I can resolve this?

Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows
Choose the option to activate by phone.

Thats the things...I cant even get into safe mode it
reboots as well

If you can't get to Safe mode, your problems go far beyond activation
issues.
A Repair Installation may be necessary, data is safe during a Repair
