Confused

I have activated windows and the icon for activating
windows keeps appearing. Everytime I click it, it
says, "Windows has been activated." Then it has an "okay"
button at the bottom. Everytime I start my computer it
keeps appearing. I had to reinstall XP again and it's
doing the same DARN thing. HELP!

Hi,

Start/run regsvr32 regwizc.dll
Then start/run regsvr32 licdll.dll

If this doesn't help try these steps:

Start the computer in Safe mode by hitting F8 at bootup. Start/run regedit.
Delete the following keys:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers

Exit the registry editor, restart normally.

That's what you get with software that is copy-protected FROM you, the
paying customer. Copy-protection is to protect the greedy corporation from
it's customer "fair use" rights. The only way to protect yourself from
greedy corporations from stripping you of your "fair use" rights to the
copyrighted material you have legally purschased, is not to ever buy any
copyrighted material that is copy-protected ever again. When those greedy
corporation find out that they can't give away their "fair use"-disabled
products to consumers, they'll get rid it, or go under!
