XP Activation Question

I had to do a reinstalltion of XP "over the top" to clear up some issues that
I had when I created a cloned copy of my drive to use as a backup in case my
main drive died. After I dd this, I went to MS updates and downloaded some
critical updates for Windows. After doing this and rebooting, I went to check
and see if there were any more updates that I needed to download and it
brought me to a Windows Validation page that validated my copy (which is legal
by the way) of XP. It came up with a funny message that basically said that
it was unable to determine if it was a valid copy. I tried the verify process
several other times last night and finally made up my mind to reinstall XP
from scratch today thinking that if I cannot validate my copy of XP then I
will not be able to receive any Windows updates any more. Lo and behold today
when I turned on my PC, I got a message in my system tray that said I have 41
updates for Windows to be installed!! After answering yes to the updates all
seems well right now. I go to the Windows update page and it doesn't ask for
me to validate any more. Also, I do not have the icon in System Tools that
allows you to validate Windows.

My question is, is there a way to know if Windows has been sucessfully
activated? I don't want XP to stop working in 30 days!

Try this: In Windows, users can click Start/All Programs/Accessories/System
Tools, then click Activate Windows.

If your product is activated, the windows product activation window will
indicate it.
