XP 64-bit edition and eLicense

Hi there,

I've recently purchased a PC with a copy of XP 64-bit edition on it for
graphics-type purposes.

I own a game called Out of the Park Baseball (
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com ) and I'd like to put it on the new PC.

However, the software requires something called eLicense from Viatech (
http://www.elicense.com ), which apparently isn't supported by XP 64-bit
edition.

Is there some sort of "backward compatibility" type of a trick that could be
pulled off to get eLicense supported on this machine?

The actual error message that I get when I try to run the game is:

"Sorry, could not get a license at this time. Please try running this
program again later."

Thanks.

It is not a Windows problem that some game with some DRM doesn't work.
You need to contact the makers of the game and or the elicense people.

Or you can dual boot the Windows 32-bit version.

That's just it, though. From what I've read of the situation, they're
saying that it is MS's fault. I'm not sure whose it is, really. I just
figured that maybe the two parties could get together and figure it out.

And it's not the game itself that doesn't work. It's the eLicense software,
which is used as the licensing verification deal for a bunch of other stuff.

It's not a big deal to me, since I have two PCs, and I have to format and
reinstall Win2K on the old one anyway (and the software does work). This
allows me to keep two PCs and add about 85 GB of storage. I'd just prefer to
keep it all in one place.
