XL2000: Pivot Table Limitations II

L

LPS

Thanks to Sean Timmons who clearly explained Pivot Table limitations for
Excel 2000. I just have one more questions about this to make sure I am
perfectly clear...
My understanding is that a PT cannot have more than 256 Page Fields (or less
if the PCs memory is limited). Each Page Field cannot have more than 8,000
items. Is there a total maximum number of Page Field items in the same way
that there is a total maximum number of Column and Row Field items (Total
column field items = 32,768 and Total Row field items = 2.1 billion)? Total
Page Field items = ???

All help is greatly appreciated.

Well, a Page field is a drop-down that will show different values in the row
and column fields, so the rows and columns are a subset of the page field.
Your page field can only have up to 8000 items in it, and the total row and
column amounts still apply as below. This does NOT give you a potential 7000
times the nubers below. they are considered in total.
