XL File on DeskTop cannot be openned

Hi there

When I click on an XL file placed on DeskTop, only Excel App is openned
and the file is not open. Also when an XL file is allready openned and
try to open another XL file placed on DeskTopm same problem happened. I
tried many times, but !!!!!!


Is there a solution ?

Sometimes one of these works:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

--- or ---

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.
