Can anyone tell me more about this Folder - xerox ?

If this is a Windows component, why is it named xerox?

It can not be deleted.

Just cleaning up at the year end and found this "odd" folder with no
contents except a empty folder called nwwia.

I have no, and have never had any, xerox hardware or software.

Thanks for your help/suggestions.

1. If the folder and subfolder are empty, they are taking virtually no
space, so don't worry about them.

2. Google is your friend - there are about 15,200 Google hits for nwwia.

3. Short answer - you can't (easily) delete these folders because they
are protected by Windows. As near as I can tell, there are there to
provide a place to install a driver for a Xerox scanner, should you
decide to install one.

Thanks to the 3 of you for responding. I did "google" it. I realize it takes
up no space, but NO ONE can tell me what it is for. All I have seen is, near
as I can tell, or could be related to or maybe it is used for....

This is the ONLY Empty folder on my entire OS.

36+ years in System Programming, and have never seen so much written, and NO
ONE actually knows.

Regards.

Read the reply directing you to blogs.msdn. Raymond Chen [MSFT] explains all.
