ATI's recommendation is at the bottom of this page. As
they seem to be emphasizing the +12V, my assumption is
all the power is coming from +12V. Since they spec an
extra 8 amps for a Crossfire mode configuration, the
implication is that the extra card is drawing 12x8=96W
The Xbitlabs measurement here was 120 watts, which would
I guess be 12V @ 10A. Too bad they couldn't give the same
level of detail that they've used in some of their other
power measurement articles.
