X-SuperAlien Turbo Case Question

Anybody using this case?

http://www.overclockercafe.com/Reviews/cases/X-SuperAlien/pg_2.htm

I'm wondering how many fans can be handled by each of the two separate fan
speed controllers (on the front panel). The case comes standard with 6
Turbo Cool Blue Quad-LED fans ... two intakes on the front, two exhausts on
the back, one intake on the acrylic side panel and one intake on the top.

The output connector from each speed controller is labeled as follows:

OUTPUT
0.3A
4 FAN
MAX 1.2A

Does that look like they are trying to say 4 fans? Problem is that the 6
supplied 80mm Turbo Cool Blue Quad-LED fans do not have any amperage or
wattage labeling .... they just say Brushless 12V. They appear to be of
sleeve bearing design.

Anyone try out 4 fans on one controller? I'd like to put the 4 intakes on
one controller and the 2 exhausts on the other speed controller if possible.

It came mounted as an intake on the top of the case that seems to feed the
case's PS fan intake .... But I was wondering if I should maybe flip it to
become an exhaust?

I'm not familiar with the case in question but unless the top section of the
case is completely blocked off from the rest of the case I'd have it
exhausting air out. Hot air rises and if you are blowing cold air in from
the top it's going against the natural airflow in the case. If it is blocked
off and the top part of the case only contains the PSU and it has a fan
sucking from that area then leave it blowing air inwards or the fans will be
fighting each other.

At the top of this page:

It clearly states: "Up top we see another 80mm blowhole with the alien style
custom fan grill." Note the word 'blowhole' as opposed to suckhole <G>.

Yeah I agree ... I think they just installed backwards at the factory ...
I'm actually thinking of just not connecting it and blocking off the hole.

I've never found top blowholes important enough to add one to a case,
but if my (basic variant of that case) had the hole I'd probalby leave
the fan sucking in and duct it to blow all the air into the power
supply. Since your case already has the two inake, exhaust, and a
side intake, you can pretty much do whatever you want with the top
fan, but if it were blowing out it would decrease the airflow though
the power supply.

Not a bad idea .... thanks.

I have this case. I like it, as it comes with plenty of cooling. 2 fans
at front can be controlled by front panel individually. Two fans at the
back have just one control (meaning: both can be turned up/down at the
same time).

The top blowhole fan and side fan do not have speed controls.

One thing that you should be aware of: Have a few y-splitters handy for
power chords inside, as the PSU doesn't come with enough plugs.

Cheers,

Sammy.
