x-fi soundblaster and blue screens

Hi.
I'm using an x-fi soundblaster and in one particular game the computer keeps
crashing to blue stop screen at random intervals. It always blames
ha20x2k.sys which is a sound driver file and this only happens when the card
is in 'game mode' with eax effects enabled. I've tried using the older and
the latest creative drivers but it doesn't help.
So I'm wondering if it's just an issue with this game or with the
card/drivers or system in general.

Does anyone know of a program that will 'stress' a soundcard particularly
its eax abilities, in the same way that the 3Dmark05 etc can be used to
continuously run and test graphics cards?
Thanks

Well if you tried other games and it is only this one
particular game, it seems you have your answer. Fiddle with
the game sound settings and research game patches.

How about trying some game demos, games that use EAX. There
might be some kind of little utility in the Creative
software that does a basic EAX test.
