You're quite right - a new version of Windows Update was recentky released.
I think it's a real improvement.

The wutemp folder holds the temporary files that Windows Update creates when
it installs updates on your computer. The temporary files are erased after
the install completes, so the folder is typically empty.

If you haven't installed any updates, there is no wutemp folder on your hard
drive. Visit Windows Update now and get updated.

Hi Ted
Yes my PC is all updated, as of yesterday, right after reinstall.
But i have 2 hard drives on my pc and could not find a WUTemp folder
anywhere on eith drive, eaven in hidden folders.
It must be there somewhere.
Can you or someone tell me where.
I know under the old update site it was under windows.
Thanks again.

Why are you so concerned about this folder? It's presence or absence has
nothing to do with your computer's ability to get its job done.
