WSUS v2 running on Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 1.

i have 2 problems.

a) quite a number of client Windows XP sp2 workstations not shown in the

WSUS server.

b) alot of client record in WSUS shown status "This computer has not

reported status in xx or more days."

how to resolve these 2 problems?

I suggest posting to the WSUS newsgroup. www.susserver.com also has some
support discussion forums. And searching Google for your error message shows
some people who previously had the same problem, and their steps to fix the
problem:

I would go to a client that is reported as not having connected to the WSUS
server, and check out the relevant log files, such as the Windows event logs
and the wupdate.log file. Also, I would use the instructions at
www.susserver.com to force the client to check in with the WSUS server and
see what happens. If you get any error mesages about being unable to access
a particular WSUS URL, you could try copying and pasting that URL into a web
browser and see if you get a more verbose error message.
