Update 928366 failing via WSUS

Is anyone experiencing the following?:

I am using WSUS to deploy MS Critial Updates, and have over 800 machines
"needing" the .NET 1.1 Update (928366) - each one is reporting back into WSUS
as "failed" with the following entry in the event logs of the PCs:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with
error 0x80070643: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1
Service Pack 1 (KB928366).

If I remote into the PC, the yellow "updates" shield is present, I can click
on it and choose either express or custom, the file is there and it installs
successfully!

Anyone know know why it would be there, install with manual intervention,
yet fail via WSUS? Any suggestions on a fix?

0x80070643 is a Generic " ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE "
Are you certain that the update is installing correctly when you remote
in ? Best to check the Event Log of the system to ensure that it has.

It is possible that the installed antivirus software [on the desktops or
the server] is preventing the install of KB928366.
