I downloaded a WS_FTP program to upload files to an ftp site that will be
hosting my web site. I connect to the ftp site, but as soon as I connect the
WS_FTP program freezes with the following error message generated:

Wsftpgui has caused an error in WSFTPCTL.DLL.

I tried everything I could think of to resolve the problem (uninstalled/
reinstalled the WS-FTP program, ran PC doctor to fix any hard disk drive
errors, deleted all my temporary/cookie files) but nothing seems to be
working for me. I run Microsoft Windows ME. I have a Gateway 933Mhz PC,
Intelpentium III, 40gb, 128 RAM.

Is this some kind of Registry error? If so, is there any software I can
download to fix this DLL error? I heard of DLL errors but I have no idea
what they are related to. Any suggestions very much appreciated as I need
this program to maintain my website!

Thanks!
Kevin

I have cuteftp on my desktop and put AceFTP on my laptop. After
uploading a file with Aceftp to my ftp site (not FP-related) I tried
later to delete it using Cuteftp from my desktop, and could not delete
it for some reason.

I could still delet it with ACEftp (which does seem to be a good
progam), but never understood what ACE did that prevented Cuteftp from
deleting the file.

Any particular reason you don't use the built in FTP publishing feature in FrontPage??

And in reality, you don't need any 3rd party FTP program. Simply open the ftp:// site in Internet
Explorer and drag the files in and select "Copy here."
