server problems

on a Windows 2003 server http://198.96.220.8/

I can readily connect using a browser and
through any standard FTP program as well as
through FrontPage 2003's FTP ability.......

but after - I try ( and fail ) to connect
using FrontPage 2002 server extensions using FrontPage 2003.
I am shut-out of the ability to make
ANY other connection again.
( browser -- WS_FTP -- etc )

** I am told that FP server extensions are "alive-and-well"
** I am just trying FTP to try and 'connect" -- not to transfer

If the server extensions are alive and well *DO NOT* ftp to the server. Always connect using
http://198.96.220.8/

That is one reason you have / use an "extended" server.
