wrong spacing between two words

I am simply typing in a word document and when i reach the 4th word in the
sentence the gap between each word gets bigger? why? and how can i adjust it
so i have normal spacing between words?

Go to Format | Font | Character spacing and check to see if you have expanded
selected. If you do, deselect it.
