Wrong Scan Dates

I run a quick scan when I first sign on. The next time I boot up, the taskbar
icon has the yellow !, when I check Defender, it tells me I need to do a
scan--gives a time frame of different days. It may be three, five, et.. I
thought at first it meant a full scan, ran a full scan two different days,
but this did not resolve the issue.
Thank you for any advice.

Just a long shot, but here goes...Do you use CCleaner or any other registry
cleaner program.
