Wrong drive designation

After replacing my HDD with a new one, everything works fine except for the
following:
Previous to the replacement, my CD-ROM was designated as "D" and my
CD-BURNER was designated as "E". Now, after the HDD replacement, the
designations are exactly reversed, that is "D" is now "E" and viceversa.
Why is this and what can I do about it??? Any help or advise would be most
welcomed. Thanks and best regards,

It looks like you have inadvertently interchanged the cables when you
were installing the new hard drive.

To reverse this, just change the connections of Cds/DVDs and you will
get everything as before.

You can change drive letter designation with Computer management Console.
Start, Run, compmgmt.msc Press enter. You can also get there Control panel,
Admin tools. At memory console double click (Under Storage), Disk Management.
Click CDrom, then right click. from drop down menu select "Change Drive
Letter". Reassign arbtrary letter (F to Z). then go back and assign desired
letter. Do this for both CD ROM/Burners.
