Wrong Date when pasting/linking workbooks

Hi.

I really hate to bother you with this, but . . . .

I am linking two existing workbooks. All is fine, until I try to link the
Date of an action.

Both the origin and the linked cells are formated dd-mmm-yyyy, one of the
available date formats. But, when I enter 15 Mar 2008 in the source, it
shows up as 14 Mar 2004. I did notice that in the Format Cell Date options,
the listed formats were also one year and one day off from each other in the
different workbooks.

Both workbooks are currently opened on my desktop using the only version of
EXCEL on the machine, EXCEL 2003 SP3.

Any advice or words of encouragement are appreciated.

Hi Cummings

There are two date systems that Excel can use
1900 and 1904 system

You can change this in the options
Tools>Options....Calculation
