Wrong App Opens Image File from MS XL97

When using hyperlinks in MSXL97, JASC software (undesired) opens the
linked filename.JPG file.

When using MSExplorer, IrfanView (desired) opens the filename.JPG
file.

How may I change the file association when using the XL97 hyperlink ?

Using XP Pro.
